The middle of our town has a park with a lake, known as the "Water Gardens". It is here most of the thousands of fruit bats have taken residence in the trees, with resulting damage. HFF. Explored.

Red wattle bird

A Red Wattlebird ( Anthrochaera carunculata ) interrupted from its feast on nectar from the gum blossoms. The name is for the red wattles hanging just below where the ears should be. Tokina RMC 200/3.5 .
