Come in if you're musical

A somewhat more ornamental fence than my usual postings. Going by the gate guardians, you'll be welcome if you're musically inclined. HFF and have a safe and enjoyable weekend, everyone.

Pauline

13 Mar 2021 21 89 367
I am writing with a heavy heart to advise you that, after a long fight with a particularly nasty cancer, my lovely wife Pauline is no longer with us. She slipped away quietly this morning (13 March). I know that many of you will be greatly saddened by this news. If it is any consolation, I can tell you that she went peacefully and that she was comfortable with her departure. Also a PiP from long ago. I shall continue to be largely absent from ipernity for a while longer. GO SOFTLY Go softly now, On wings of wind, With steps that leave No trail in the morning dew. Drift quietly away, And join the light That burns my heart And sears my soul. Lift up and fly! And tarry now, But leave the pain And vanish from this heavy place. Go softly now On wings of wind, Reach out and touch Eternal Light awaiting your sweet soul. Author: Unknown

Community Christmas

21 Dec 2014 16 21 959
Having Christmas in summer has its advantages, such as the beachside Christmas carols organised by our local community association. Late in the afternoon, people arrive to picnic as the sun goes down, while being entertained by a youth group singing Christmas songs. And yes, it would be lacking if Santa didn't arrive. (See notes). Best on black and if you'd care for some musical accompaniment, you might enjoy this link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpsXNlarAk8 . I expect I shall be largely off line over coming days, but I shall try to look in to see your images. Season's Greetings, everyone.
