I do not believe I saw any users in this rather pleasant looking pool during the whole of our stay! Best viewed large. HFF and have a great weekend, everyone. Explored.

This gate and fence struck me as almost encapsulating the island. There can't be too many places where a fence (and open gate) is ornamented with old floats and a surfboard, while Kentia Palms dangle over the top! HFF, everyone.

The forests of Lord Howe Island have a high proportion of palms. If you are familiar with indoor potted palms, the chances are they are Kentia Palms, such as these, originally from Lord Howe and now found worldwide indoors.

Well, not very far out I must admit. This is on one of the islands in Moreton Bay near Brisbane. We went there on the ferry for a very pleasant lunch at the restaurant where I took this image. Explored.

Looking across the town of Merimbula from our motel room, it's easy to see why the tourist promotions label this "The Sapphire Coast"
