Photo from 1964 of (what is now officially the "Old") Queensland Museum and Art Gallery. This was copied from one of my earliest slides, on Anscochrome film which has not aged well - see PiP for the unedited copy. Brisbane now has new museums and galleries, but at least this building has been preserved. The tram tracks and overhead cables have long since gone. Merged evening panorama of Brisbane. Not much of a sunset, but the lights made up for it. It's some years since I visited the city and I can't get over how much the buildings have grown - the bridge and City Hall (now lost among the giants) were once the tallest. Best viewed large. Many of these lovely tropical street trees around Brisbane, and they are in flower for our visit. It's a long time since I'd heard this song by Caterina Valente, but it's just as good as ever. Explored.
