Clyde evening

25 Aug 2020 36 21 295
Evening light over the Clyde River and the new bridge being built to replace the old lifting bridge behind it. Best viewed large (click image). Extra note: I've realised that I should add a note about the black stuff in the water and on the sand. That is soot and ash debris from the very extensive bushfires at the start of the year, recently brought down the river by heavy rain.

Sunset

I haven't posted a classic car for a while. This is the (recently acquired) Peugeot 505GTI from 1985. Explored.

Up and away!

15 Aug 2017 23 13 939
Just home from a fortnight of very summery travels (even though it's winter in Australia) with little chance to go online. I posted this image before departing, but had the wrong posting date so it didn't show as my most recent image. I expect to be back fully online over the next few days when I catch up with things. Here's an appropriate link. :-)

Evening city lights

15 Mar 2017 29 16 716
Merged evening panorama of Brisbane. Not much of a sunset, but the lights made up for it. It's some years since I visited the city and I can't get over how much the buildings have grown - the bridge and City Hall (now lost among the giants) were once the tallest. Best viewed large. Explored. Spread the news: www.ipernity.com/group/2260604/discuss/186760

Evening light on the flats

13 Jul 2015 37 20 674
Looking across the Lake George flats in the late afternoon. Best viewed large (click on image). Here's some music to go with it. I'm heading away on a trip in the next few days, planning to be back in about two weeks. Enjoy yourselves, I'll try to look in if and when an opportunity allows.

Quiet winter evening

A pleasant conjunction

23 Jun 2015 22 9 694
Early evening, and the waxing crescent moon and planets (Venus and Jupiter) made a pleasant conjunction as they set behind trees in the west. A musical link here.
