I'm having a quiet night, relaxing and enjoying this lovely bottle of 2006 Shiraz, from a favourite winery, that I found packed away when I shifted residence recently . Even better, I understand it's Thirsty Thursday today.

Tonight we had a visit by good friends and neighbours, with this very tasty 1995 Barossa Valley Shiraz to help celebrate ten years in our current house. The label may be showing its age, but the wine prompted my friend to say it was the best red he's ever tasted: a big call indeed!

"Sevenhill" is a winery in South Australia's Clare Valley region. They produce some excellent wines, so not surprisingly a visit there is a high priority when we're over that way. I don't think I've previously posted images from this trip. Here's a musical link.

I guess I'd have to count, among my favourite fences, the type specially made for grapes to grow on. Even better when they use the grapes for wine making. A very happy HFF indeed. :-)

Taken for the monthly comp for the Prime Lenses (fixed focal length) Group, where the subject was "Wine". Best viewed on black and the subject best drunk after a few years maturation .... if the willpower holds. :) Explored.
