Maybe not the most comfortable looking bench, this is beside the channel dug to the ocean (far distance) to connect with the new marina and its new artificial harbour at Shellharbour. The Nan Tien Temple was built by the Mahayana Buddhist organisation known as Fo Guang Shan and was completed in 1995. It is certainly Australia's largest Buddhist temple and, I understand, probably the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. In the PiP, one of the gate guardians.
