When I went for my recent walk with friends in the Murramarang National Park, we stopped here at Quiriga Beach for lunch.

Taken during a walk along part of the coast in the Murramarang National Park, this is Three Islet Point, reached by a scramble over the rocks along the shore.

An access road through the Murramarang National Park. Without any certainty, I think the foreground tree is a Spotted Gum (normally tall and straight), stunted because of the poor soils in this area. Best viewed large.

Following from my previous image, this is the escarpment at the southern end of Dark Beach. I must admit that I didn't realise when I was there that the fallen rocks on the beach looked so much like turtles!

The name "Dark Beach" derives, with little imagination, from the dark gravelly sand covering on this small beach. Better large on black.
