Copied from an old slide (and too small here). Colonies of Adelie penguins lived on the offshore islands near Mawson, and were frequent visitors except in the winter months . Some blatant advertising. For the 50th anniversary of our expedition, I wrote a book which is available online as either a hard cover or inexpensive .pdf download.
