c13 chancel, with a single post-mediaeval window re-using the stone from the original late c13 twin that was here. the doorway though round headed is early c13, and comes from the other side of the chancel. the window on the right is late c14.

a lamb and the letter D within a crown of thorns form a rebus of the agnus dei. why the thin skewers from each corner ? and were such panels as these around the c.1460 tower once filled with tiny flushwork or left bare ?

little more than the major timbers, the dado and one or two of the shafts remain from the original early c14 screen, which also retains a little paintwork and an elevation squint from the c16.

on the northern inside wall of the chancel is this length of early c13 dogtooth, the lintel of the priests' door now removed to the south.
