the commandments board shows two standing figures who bear little likeness to moses and aaron; one has a serpent at his feet, both hold up their hands. were they once other figures? also the captions of the roundels do not fit the evangelists shown. it would be interesting to x-ray the entire thing to see if it is a c16 board redone in the c17.
