view east through the early c12 chancel arch into the apsidal chancel. early c16 squint and niche for a statue over the position of a side altar. the church booklet calls these a lepers' squint and a chantry altar, both incorrect. lepers were never allowed in villages, and there was no known chantry foundation here .
