c15 angel from the roof of the s.e. chapel at ewelme church, now in the ashmolean museum. the lower wing comes from another angel: in situ there are no seraphim as suggested here.

A large bolt head pins this feathered angel into place. These angels are believed to copy the costumes from religious dramas of the time, feathered tights and all.
