simple slab covering the reburied remains of mary tudor, queen of france before marrying the duke of suffolk, who had been buried first in the abbey in 1533, then moved here after the dissolution within her tomb. in 1784, the tomb was dismantled, the body reburied and the old altar slab that made up its lid laid into the floor.
