this ashkenazi cemetery founded in 1697 is not easy to find or see. though I doubt if any guard dogs ever existed . this ground off mile end rd. was paid for by benjamin levy, and expanded in 1733. most of the chest tombs have collapsed , and the hebrew lettering has faded.
