heraldic plaque from the front of tottenham grammar school, dated 1659, now amongst the few items left on view in the museum, which now only fills a few ground floor rooms, such a waste of an excellent house.

excellent late c17 fireplace, brought from northern europe at a later date.the cast iron and tiles look arts and crafts work of the earliest c20. this is on the first floor, now a white desert of temporary exhibition spaces, all fire doors and health and safety notices. the main stair has had a stairlift fitted, though there is nothing to see up here apart from the odd fireplace that hasn;t been ripped out yet. give them time. . . what a waste of a house.

central clock tower over the porch, added 1684, with cannon-ball-like clock weight hanging over the edge. once a local museum, this house has suffered from political correctness, health and safety, and sad attempts to make the place "relevant". upstairs is now empty. what a sad waste; the council should give this house to someone who will use it.

excellent regency cast iron fireplace, maybe early c19, upstairs . the fireplaces are the only things left to see up here. everything not fitted has gone: the council seems to prefer cod-modernist empty white spaces.
