this late c14 knight, within his original railings, is in the south aisle. he has a good lion at his feet, and another as a crest on his helmet very similar to that on the helm of the black prince at canterbury

this is one of those mediaeval lugged stone bowls that you see in churches , often claimed as fonts or stoups of a ridiculous age. they are probably c.c15, and this one seems to have a pouring channel in one corner. some form of mortar? i have seen them claimed for lead or bell work, but you couldnt really heat them up, and they would be dangerous to pour hot metal from.
