the ceiling inside is probably basically as inigo jones would have designed it with wreaths of oak leaves when he built the church in 1631-3, though it was also originally painted by matthew goodrich. it is not generally recognised that jones often designed with murals and colour in mind. all of that would have gone in the late c18 fire, if not earlier.
