mid c15 roof, arch braced collars over single hammer beams, stripped of much of its glory with the angels. note the window over the chancel arch, popular in east anglia and the cotswolds. such lights cannot have illuminated the rood, [rather the opposite], but may have replaced light lost from the chancel when tympana filled chancel arches.
