this is the west front. the n.w. tower was rebuilt neo-norman in 1716-25. pevsner was shown the door and visitors appear unwelcome. however, a very interesting building, the earliest in brick in oxfordshire, the earliest neo- norman, and check out the dutch style draw bridge just beware shotgun carrying earls !
