in the church are several broken sculptures, here a mid c13 stiff leaf capital stands between the remains of a c15 pieta and part of a c13 seated figure

but what from ? they are a couple of foot high, and i'd like to know to which carved group they belonged. my best guess is that they could be the 4 knights killing thomas becket. the only biblical scene that fits would be the arrest of christ, and there's less chance that this would have been singled out for display
