Armrests from chancel stalls are a mixture of C.16th and 19th .work :I loved these even if modern.

Animated gloves on legs ; some of the more unusual babewyns found on misericords. And again look at how the hinges pass behind the branches etc.

Study the hinges! And why has the face of the gryllus been smashed - he's no angel or saint. Maybe just too disturbing for someone. In every way these misericords are unlike others; structure, design, imagery all appear unique. No others have this exact central support, or triangular section to the side tails, or seat shape, or long hinges behind the carving, or these surreal animated gloves. The closest are perhaps those from st.nicholas, king's lynn, and they are considerably later in date.
