the large figure outlined on this cross is said to have a curly tail; pevsner says there's another at penzance; I'm dubious that one small curl- to the right of his leg- denotes a tail, especially amongst all the interlace

along the top edge of this stone are the same latin letters IVPTI marked out in ogham script. it was probably a c6 grave marker

c6 cross, one of many here. actually, I can see few ways of dating these rustic crosses, they've nearly all been moved out of context, and cornwall's such an old fashioned place that this could be of any date up to maybe the c13. . .
