probably one of the most memorable aspects of this wesleyan complex is the gents'lavatory of 1899, not mentioned in pevsner.
for once I didn't access the ladies' loos, but the gents' were unusually clean; cleanliness is literally next to godliness here, with the chapel overhead. methodists obviously preferred cottaging in comfort.....no need to haunt the graveyard over the road !
