Der Borkenkäfer hat dieses Jahr ganze Arbeit geleistet und den immergrünen Sichtschutz vor meinem Fenster in ein Gräberfeld verwandelt. It is autumn now and the spruces near my home carry so many cones like never before as if they knew that they are going to be chopped down soon. After two years of extremely hot and long summers we have had a bark beetle plague this year as well and all the trees in front of my window are dead now.
