Ein letzter Blick auf das St. Josef Krankenhaus in meiner Heimatstadt, bevor es abgerissen wurde. Aus Kostengründen wurde es 2013 geschlossen und im letzten Jahr abgerissen. Immerhin entsteht an der selben Stelle jetzt ein Gesundheitscampus mit verschiedenen Arztpraxen und neuem Wohnraum, dennoch ist es bei einer Einwohnerzahl von fast 44.000 schwer nachvollziehbar, warum man bei gesundheitlichen Problemen immer in die Krankenhäuser der Nachbarstädte fahren muß. Also bleibt gesund und habt einen schönen Happy Fence Friday! A last view onto the St. Josef Hospital in my home town shortly before it was demolished. Closed down due to financial reasons in 2013 it was knocked down last year. At least they currently build a brand new medical centre with several medical practices as well as new housing at the same place, though it is hardly understandable why citizens of a town with a population of almost 44,000 always have to go to the hospitals in the neighbouring cities. In einer bestimmten Straße in meiner Heimatstadt stehen auf beiden Seiten ein paar alte Kirschbäume, die momentan wieder wunderschön blühen. Leider dauert die Pracht meistens nur eine Woche, aber es sieht jedes Jahr immer wieder toll aus. In a particular street in my home town there are some old cherry trees on both sides, which are blossoming beautifully again at this time. Unfortunately this splendid sight usually only lasts for about a week, but each year it really looks great again.

Fantastisch blühender Magnolienbaum, gesehen während eines Spaziergangs durch meine Heimatstadt, die in der Flugschneise von Düsseldorf und Köln liegt. Hier ist der Himmel selten so stahlblau wie auf diesem Bild und normalerweise immer von Kondensstreifen durchzogen. Die Coronakrise kann also auch gute Seiten haben ;-) A fantastic magnolia tree in full bloom, as seen on a walk through my home town which is situated in the air corridor of both airports in Dusseldorf and Cologne. Usually the sky here isn't as steel-blue as in this picture but streaked with contrails. So the corona crisis can have a positive effect as well ;-)

Neulich auf einem Spaziergang entdeckt: Ein Maschendrahtzaun mit Resten von Efeu, der offenbar im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes durch den Zaun gewachsen war. Erinnerte mich irgendwie an ein Medusenhaupt :-) HFF, ein schönes Wochenende und vor allen Dingen Gesundheit an Euch und Eure Familien! Recently discovered during a walk through my home town: A wire mesh fence with remnants of ivy that had literally grown through the fence. Somehow it reminded me of a Medusa's head :-) HFF, have a nice weekend and stay healthy to you all and your families!
