Blick vom Bicentennial Park an der Esplanade in Darwin aufs Meer mit einem aufkommenden Gewitter. In meinem Rücken befindet sich ein Spielplatz, daher das Hinweisschild, dass im Umkreis von 10 Metern absolutes Rauchverbot herrscht. Kanonen sind aber offenbar kein Problem :-) HFF und ein hoffentlich gewitterfreies Wochenende an Euch alle! There is a children's playground behind my back, hence the sign saying that smoking within 10 metres of it is prohibited. March isn't supposed to be one of the best months to travel to Darwin, but we were quite lucky: During the day we had the best weather and were additionally rewarded with the most gorgeous sunsets from our hotel balcony each evening. The evening thunderstorms above Beagle Gulf looked quite dramatic, but fortunately stayed on the sea.

Auch auf Australiens Straßen ein seltener Anblick:
 Ein Holden FJ, gebaut zwischen 1953 und 1957, entdeckt in der Innenstadt von Darwin in der Nähe der Christ Church Cathedral. Wenn man genau hinschaut, kann man rechts einen Bauzaun sehen, deswegen HFF und schon einmal ein schönes Wochenende an alle! A rare sight even in Australia: A Holden FJ, constructed between 1953 and 1957, located in the centre of Darwin near Christ Church Cathedral. If you look closely, you can see a construction site fence on the right, so HFF and a lovely weekend to everyone!

Das Government House in Darwin wurde ursprünglich zwischen 1870 und 1871 erbaut und ist das älteste europäische Gebäude im Northern Territory sowie offizielle Residenz und Amtssitz dessen Administrators.
