A few weeks ago we had a very cold snap. This bowl was out on the back steps filled with rain water and leaves, When I saw it next morning I was amazed to see this "stalagmite"of ice standing up out of it. Obviously water had been dripping from the railing above and freezing instantly to form this ice shaft.
