Construction on a new bridge is scheduled to be complete by the city's 300th anniversary in 2010. Til then, it's the long way around from Brices Creek to Captain Ratty's downtown!

Spectators were gathered in the neighboring park with binoculars and cameras, but no visible progress was made. The city newspaper (Sun Journal) reported that some folks waited hours for a sign of movement!
