Our Lone Iris

31 May 2023 10 4 159
At one time there were several, maybe nibbled on by foraging deer until gone for good. Here's hoping this one continues to thrive.

Oak Leaves Turning

A heavy lens, this old Vivitar, but it produces some nice bokeh.

Pink Bluebells

17 Apr 2022 4 141
Virginia bluebells aren't always blue. Sometimes they're pink, as in this image, sometimes purple, or lavender, or shades in between. I understand some even bloom in white, but I haven't seen any of those.

Turning Leaf

06 Nov 2020 5 3 142
The resurrection of an old lens, one I haven't used in some time, mainly because it's so huge and heavy. Wouldn't want to walk long distances with it, but for a short excursion it's fun to fool around with.

Fringed Orchid

14 Sep 2019 10 3 270
Sue planted this down by the creek and has been carefully nurturing it.

Wineberries

The berries look prickly, but are supposed to be tasty. I haven't tried one yet, and so can't substantiate the claim.

Another Iris Risen

Small, delicate, but doing pretty well so far.

Dogwood at Noon

Always nice to see it blossoming.
