Der Davosersee befindet sich im Kanton Graubünden wenig nördlich des bekannten Wintersportortes Davos. Er markiert das nordöstliche Ende der Landschaft Davos, eines vom Landwasser durchflossenen Hochtals, das sich nach Südwesten bis zur Zügenschlucht erstreckt. Der Davosersee ist ein Naturstausee. Der Ablauf geschieht über einen Druckstollen nach Klosters und einen Überlauf in die Landwasser. Der See liegt auf 1'559 m.ü.M., hat eine Fläche von 59 ha und ein Volumen von 15,6 Mio m3 Wasser.
