Valencia – Lonja de la Sede (silk exchange)
The Lonja was founded in 1469 as an oil market. The design comes from a similar building in Palma. The architects were Pere Compte, Juan Yvarra, Domingo Urtiaga and Johan Corbera. The first stones were delivered on February 15, 1483, that was the day the construction begun.
It therefore lasted until 1533 (50 years) until the construction with its crenellated tower and the gothic contract hall were completed.
During the following centuries Lonja served as a silk market.

Sevilla – Metropol Parasol
Metropol Parasol is a wooden structure located at La Encarnación square, in the old quarter of Seville, Spain.
It was designed by the German architect Jürgen Mayer and completed in April 2011.
It has dimensions of 150 by 70 metres (490 by 230 ft) and an approximate height of 26 metres (85 ft) and claims to be the largest wooden structure in the world.
Its appearance, location, delays and cost overruns in construction resulted in much public controversy. The building is popularly known as Las Setas de la Encarnación (Incarnación's mushrooms).
