Taken from a window in a dormitory at the Polytechnic Institute of the University of Westminster on Marylebone Road. The view is of the roof of the Portman Mansions a block of Victorian mansion flats on Porter at Chilton streets in the City of Westminster, London, England. The mansions were built built between 1890 and 1900 by Henry Saxon Snell, an architect. The crouching figure at the far left is supposed to be Quasimodo, the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
