Taken during the Cactus and Succulent Society of America (CSSA) Biennial Convention, April 2011, at the Mission Valley Marriott Hotel, San Diego, California. Convention officials convinced the hotel to replace their standard fare plantings with succulents not only to please convention goers, but also as a water saving measure. The hotel reported a noticable savings in their water bill and grounds maintenance as a result and were contemplating keeping them on a permanent basis. (IMG_4432)
