Go on - take my photo - Eastbourne convenience sto…

This is the photo I mentioned when posting the snaps of the young people in Eastbourne. www.ipernity.com/doc/philsutters/52068218 I was returning from a wedding and was in need of a drink, while changing from train to bus. I had found my camera bag had got locked in the church, while taking photos of the wedding party. So I was carrying my camera over my shoulder. Seeing that, this friendly shop keeper asked me to take his picture. The covid screen does rather spoil the portrait but his warm character shines through. I tried hard to find this image and couldn't initially, then I came across it while looking for something else. The camera bag was recovered for me the next day and returned to me by a relative visiting us a few weeks later.

She then pulled this cheerful guy towards her and again asked me to photograph them. One of their friends called out "This is her new boyfriend." I got the impression that that may have been the first he had heard of this! A couple of years ago, returning from a wedding, carrying my camera, I went into a convenience store, being run by a guy from Iran, who also asked me to take his photo. This was just around the corner from this bus stop. www.ipernity.com/doc/philsutters/52070130 Maybe there is something about people who frequent that part of Eastbourne, that makes them want to pose for the camera.

Take my photo - Eastbourne - 12 8 2023

Sitting at a bus stop, after a day out photographing railways and parks, the latter for an Historic England project, I had my camera in my lap. A group of cheerful young people came past and this young lady said "Will you take my photo?". So I did. Her outreached arm leads to the next photo.
