Having visited the Turner Prize 2023's Finalists' Exhibition and recorded views of their works, I used a couple of them as the bases for abstract works of my own. I hope that if they were to come across them, they will be pleased that their creativity hasn't ended with their exhibition pieces. Jesse's work was spread around the gallery and the viewer was in the middle of it. This image evolved by bringing together two versions of the same view back to back and with different treatments in Photoshop.

This multilayered collage is a contrast to the distinct shapes and deliberate positioning of Ghislaine's work. Definitely one that benefits from full screen viewing - I think.

Rory Pilgrim's 'Rafts' was a multimedia creation, a large part of which was a film of a community musical performance. I have tinnitus in one ear and found the sound level too loud, so my coverage of this work was very limited. This view through the audience to the screen is authentically his, but the background seascape is a recreation of one of the emotive, calm scenes that appear in the film - from the little my ear allowed me to experience.
