Opened on 22 September 1910, this is one of the oldest cinemas in the country still working as a cinema.

The pair of can-can dancer's legs were acquired in 1991 from the then recently closed Not The Moulin Rouge Theatre, Oxford.
During 2023 a series of several dozen models of the animated film character Shaun the Sheep were placed at strategic points around Brighton and Hove. Each was decorated by an artist in an individual style. The project was a fund-raising event for a local hospice. The Shaun outside the Duke of York's was obviously styled with a nod to the stripey stockings on the legs on the cinema's roof.

Not a brilliant photo, but the gallery has fairly low lighting, and even if I wanted to use flash, the display cases would bounce it back! I thought it might be worth adding, as the previous shot ( www.ipernity.com/doc/philsutters/37702518 ) had interest shown in it.
