This has been added to complete an old album about this conversion of the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway's former marine engineering workshops at Newhaven.
Unfortunately this college never attracted enough students. Transferring from neighbouring comprehensive schools at 14 would require a high level of interest in engineering and applied sciences, so maybe that model was not appropriate for a small town setting. It is a shame as it was well equipt and achieved some creditable results, if its website is accurate.
