One of the few bonuses of being an old guy, who needs to get up early, is that you occasionally have a nice treat like this at half past five in the morning!

Living close to the sea, the dawn chorus has a large element of Gull. We also have a big population of Rooks, with Rookery Hill a mile or two west of us. If you add in at least one Cockerel, the smaller, more melodious bird songs tend to get drowned out.
