Phil Sutters' photos with the keyword: horizon

A very long distance shot with my Panasonic compact. Some how these sailing vessels demand to have their pictures taken even when they are little more than faint silhouettes on the horizon. Sailing from Poland, the destination of Rouen was not far away.

Apart from putting a white border with a caption onto it, this photo has been untouched by any digital processing - not even making the horizon level. In the distance is the Dieppe to Newhaven ferry arriving on its lunchtime crossing, which takes four hours.
