I then got to wondering where it now was. Answer - thanks to a quick Google - The Flour Mill Engineering Works at Lydney in Gloucestershire, where it awaits restoration.

Acton Depot houses the London Transport Museum's artifacts that are not on display in central London. Each year they have one or two open days, during which the public can wander round, see one-off displays, talk to staff, ride on buses and see the huge range of items that have been conserved by the Museum.
