I walked up the track to South Downs Way at the top of Beddingham Hill. Behind me are the radio masts on top of the hill.

Comp Lane (also known as the old coach road) runs along the foot of the Downs between Firle & Alfriston. Heavy showers over previous days had left many puddles (and rendered a small section virtually impassable).
