Directly copied and pasted from britainexpress.com: Towednack church is dedicated to St Winwaloe, a 6th-century hermit across the Channel in Brittany. The nave and chancel are 13th century and were built on the site of a Celtic hermitage (that is, the church was not intended to serve a village, which might account for how few houses there are close to the church!). The start of a walk in far western Cornwall. The view is towards the curiously spelled Beagletodn Downs

I encountered this cute gate at the entrance to Thorney Island Sailing Club.

Jutting out into Chichester Harbour, access to the island is through a pair of gates, one on each side. This is due to the presence of a Royal Artillery base, who took it over from the Royal Air Force; a runway remains, though I don't think it sees any regular use. You have to be buzzed through both gates onto and off if you are taking the circular walk around the island.
