A Happy Wednesday Wall to everyone. I hope your day and the rest of your week are full of fun and frolics. This wall is part of an underpass at the junction of National Route 1 and the new Bunbury Outer Ring Road in WA. Construction of this ring road has been going on for the last couple of years. It would be nice if it was completed in my life time, but who knows the secret ways of road planners. They do a nice line in bridge decoration though. Sorry it's a bit fuzzy, but the car window needs cleaning and there was no way She (Who Must Be Obeyed) would (or could) stop the car to let me take the picture. The woman has no sense of adventure ...

Disused lighthouse, Bunbury WA. This was once a very important feature of the coast of WA, although this iteration of it is relatively modern (1970).

A Happy Fence Friday to everyone. I hope your day and your weekend bring you everything you desire - or failing that, bring you everything you need. On that note, my garden in Mandurah has just received its first rainfall since 29th November 2023. It was only a skerrick, a mere 2 millimetres, but it's a start and most welcome. Not all we desire, but something we definitely need. Take care of yourselves, folks. I like this picture bigger. Please press Z to see whether you agree.

Have a Happy and safe Fence Friday, everyone. Keep warm (if you're above the equator) or cool (if you're down here with me). These are Australian Ibises, commonly (and derogatorily) called Tip Turkeys or Bin Chickens after their penchant for scavenging food in waste bins. It's a shame really, as they are very useful in gardens and farms, using their long curved beaks to forage for grubs in the soil. We (Mrs Owl and I) are visited daily by one we have named Libby who fossicks around the bushes and plants in our garden.

This is Koombana Bridge in Wardandi Boodja ("saltwater country", now known as the city of Bunbury) in Western Australia. The shape represents the ribs of a wooden ship’s hull, many of which are buried in the sands which surround Koombana Bay. HFF to everyone. I hope you are all well and keeping safe. Have a lovely weekend.
