I hope everyone has a delightfully Happy Fence Friday. The fence is not to keep the wheel in, but is actually next to a railway line which carries freight to the port. There are many crossing places so the park and wheel are easy to get to. It's a lovely spot, just across from Fishing Boat Harbour in Fremantle.

Have a great and glorious Happy Wednesday Wall and a fine rest of the week. This is the outer wall of the former Australian Sailing Museum in Mandurah. The museum was designed and built by Rolly Tasker, a legendary figure in the international ocean yacht racing world, and opened in 2008. Unfortunately on his death in 2012 there was no-one who wished to take on the task of running what was a delightful museum and many of the exhibits were either transferred to the West Australian Museum in Perth and Fremantle or were sold at auction. It is now a WOTSO workspace available for hire by businesses.

A Happy Fence Friday to one and all. I hope your day and your weekend bring you joy. This is the new Old Bridge over the estuary between Mandurah and Hall's Head. It has a delightful gentle curve that is a joy to walk across. This bridge replaced the old Old Bridge some five years ago because the timber piles of that structure were no longer safe for the increasing amount of traffic. It was a sad but necessary change.

May I wish a fine and a Happy Bench Monday to all, the final one of 2024. Have a grand week, an enjoyable New Year's Eve and a gentle, peaceful start to 2025 - pirates notwithstanding. Yo ho ho, me hearties.

May I wish a Happy Fence Friday to everyone. This is one of the playgrounds in the Keith Holmes Reserve in Mandurah. The white fence you can see is part of the pedestrian bridge over to Dolphin Quay and the Mandurah marina. This picture was taken early in the morning, thus devoid of children playing pirates. We in Western Australia are moving from Karambang (Second Spring) into Birak (First Summer) and our days are warming up (34°C today), though not consistently this early in the season (21°C forecast for next Monday). Many commiserations for those of you stuck in colder weather: wrap up warm and keep yourselves safe.
