This statue in front of the "Zeitgenössisches Forum Leipzig" symbolizes the grotesque deformation of man by the two totalitarian regimes Eastern Germany suffered from. The right hand, outstretched to the Nazi salute, the left hand forms a fist which stands for the Communist regime.

As we can see here texting was already popular in antique times.
This allegorical figure is called "Die Industrie" (The Industry). I guess nowadays one would rather call her "Economy" (Die Wirtschaft")

Statue on the Straße des 17. Juni. On the base it reads "Ich gehe durch die Welt und rufe FRIEDE FRIEDE FRIEDE" (I walk the world and call Peace Peace Peace).
It's an allegorical figur symbolising Freedom of Opinion (Meinungsfreiheit). The statue looks in the direction of the Brandenburger Tor and the east part of the city.
