The Archway Tavern used to sit in the middle of the Archway gyratory. Now the road has been rerouted and the area around the tavern pedestrianised. The interior was used on the cover of The Kinks’ Muswell Hillbillies album in 1973 (although Archway is definitely not Muswell Hill). The pub was closed for five years during all the construction and reopened in spring 2019.
