Erna Low was a travel agent who pioneered selling ski holidays in the Alps to Brits. Her firm commissioned Johny Midnight to paint this mural on the former site of their business in Reese Mews, off Kendrick Place, South Kensington.

This was the location of Francis Bacon's studio in Reece Mews off Kendrick Place, South Kensington. After his death, the studio was dismantled and reconstructed down to the last detail at the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin, where he was born.
