This is the last remaining White Star Line ship in the world. It was built to the same plans as the Titanic, but at 1/4 scale, and fitted with many of the same luxury finishes. The Nomadic was based in the shallow port of Cherbourg and used as a tender, taking passengers from the dock to the Titanic, which was anchored in deeper waters, for her ill-fated maiden voyage. You can go on board the Nomadic for a fee, but we didn't.
