One of the two remaining Harland & Wolff cranes at the Belfast shipyards. This is as close as we managed to get to them. The cranes are called Samson and Goliath: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samson_and_Goliath_(cranes)

This is the last remaining White Star Line ship in the world. It was built to the same plans as the Titanic, but at 1/4 scale, and fitted with many of the same luxury finishes. The Nomadic was based in the shallow port of Cherbourg and used as a tender, taking passengers from the dock to the Titanic, which was anchored in deeper waters, for her ill-fated maiden voyage. You can go on board the Nomadic for a fee, but we didn't.

The Dock Cafe is run by volunteers and operates on an honesty system -- you take what you want to eat and pay what you think it's worth (or what you can afford). The cafe has space for meetings, a prayer garden, a little art gallery and lots of memorabilia from the docks and shipyards of Belfast. www.the-dock.org/blog
